Gisborough Hall is one of the North East's most beautiful wedding venues — and one of my favourites to shoot at. About Gisborough Hall
Set within landscaped grounds at the foot of the Cleveland Hills, Gisborough Hall is a genuinely special place to get married. The Victorian architecture, the grand interiors, and the surrounding countryside give you an incredible range of backdrops — from the sweeping driveway on arrival to the manicured gardens for golden hour portraits.
Inside, the venue offers elegant ceremony rooms with beautiful natural light, and the reception spaces have a warmth and character that photographs brilliantly.
What to Expect From Me
I arrive early, I work quietly, and I let your day unfold naturally. During the ceremony I'm unobtrusive — you'll barely notice me. During portraits I'll guide you gently without it ever feeling like a photoshoot.
My style at Gisborough Hall leans into the venue's natural elegance — warm tones, soft light, considered compositions. Nothing forced, nothing overdone.
The Light at Gisborough Hall
The grounds at Gisborough Hall face west, which means late afternoon and golden hour light is exceptional — especially in spring and summer. If your timeline allows, I'll always recommend carving out 20 minutes for couple portraits as the sun drops. The results speak for themselves.
